(Oral) This petition has been filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner in case bearing FIR No.118 dated 05.06.2025, registered under Sections 109,309(4), 309(6), 311 of BNS, 2023 and Sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act at Police Station City Moga, District Moga.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that petitioner is the son of a Press Reporter, who oftenly publishes news against the highhandedness of police officials, therefore, the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case. Learned counsel for the petitioner further contended that CCTV footage recovered from the place of occurrence has no relevance in the instant case.

CRM-M-47423-2025 that the petitioner alongwith co-accused went to the shop of the complainant and co-accused entered into his shop, looted cash amount as well as fired gun shot which hit the complainant. Learned State counsel further contended that present petitioner is required for custodial interrogation. 6.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts and circumstances and having regard to the fact that recovery of stolen articles is yet to be effected and custodial interrogation of the petitioner is required for the proper investigation in the case, this Court is not inclined to grant the benefit of prearrest bail to the petitioner. 8.

Dismissed.
