**** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (Oral) In the present petition, the prayer of the petitioner is for the extension of his interim bail granted to the petitioner on medial ground for a period of another three months.

Vide order dated 19.07.2023 of this Court, the petitioner was granted an interim bail on medical grounds keeping in view of the facts and circumstances as recorded in the said order.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as per the order dated 19.07.2023, the petitioner was directed to surrender before the authorities concerned on 20.10.2023 by 5.00 PM, which time expires today itself. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been examined by the doctor concerned and as per the recommendation of the doctor, copy of which has been appended with the petition as Annexure P-6, the petitioner is not in a position to be retained in jail premises and has further been directed that the health of the petitioner can be managed at home only.

Learned State counsel submits keeping in view the instructions which has been received from HC Bikramjit Singh, Police Station Sadar Khanna, the claim of the petitioner has been verified and the doctor, who has issued the medical prescription, copy which has been appended as Annexure P-6, has also been interacted with and as per the observations of the doctor, the petitioner is not in a position to be retained in the jail and his health can only be managed at home.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the case file with their able assistance. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case and health condition of the petitioner, as prayed for, the interim bail granted to the petitioner by this Court vide order dated 19.07.2023, is ordered to be extended for a period upto 31.01.2024 to the satisfaction of the trial Court/ Illaqa Magistrate concerned.

After the expiry of the said period, the petitioner is directed to surrender before the authorities concerned on 31.01.2024 by 5.00 PM. (HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI) JUDGE 20.10.2023 Riya Whether speaking/reasoned:
