Through instant petition, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in case FIR No.656 dated 03.07.2023 registered under Sections 380 and 454 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Police Station Karnal Sadar, District Karnal (Annexure P-1).

On 20.10.2023, following order was passed:
"Notice of motion.
On advance service of copy of petition, learned State counsel appears and accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State of Punjab and seeks time to file reply. Post it on 05.12.2023.
In the meanwhile, petitioner shall join investigation, as and when required by the Investigating Agency and subject to his reporting to the Investigating Officer within two weeks from today, no coercive steps qua arrest of the petitioner shall be taken. In case, her arrest is required to be caused, petitioner shall be released on bail by the Arresting Officer till the next date of hearing on her furnishing personal bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting Officer. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the main accused has already been released on regular bail by the learned Sessions Judge, Karnal on 21.09.2023 and the petitioner is having clean antecedents. He is not involved in any other case.

Learned State counsel has filed status report by way of affidavit of Nayab Singh, HPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Women Safety, Karnal, District Karnal and on instructions from HC Surender Kumar submits that in compliance of order dated 20.10.2023 passed by this Court, the petitioner has joined the investigation on 28.11.2023. However, the recovery of the scooty is yet to be made and the petitioner is not involved in any other case.

In view of the statement of learned State counsel, order dated 20.10.2023 is made absolute. The petitioner shall abide by the terms and conditions as enumerated in Section 438(2) of Cr.P.C. 6.
Petition stands disposed of.
