**** SANJAY VASHISTH , J. (Oral) Mr. Sukhjit Singh, Advocate, puts in appearance on behalf of respondent No.4 and files his vakalatnama in Court today, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions.

On 30.11.2022, following order was passed:- "Prayer in this petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner's daughter Gurleen Kaur, aged about 18 years, left her home on 02.06.2022 and got married to respondent No. 4-Vishal on 03.06.2022. He further submits that petitioner's daughter and respondent No. 4 had also filed a petition seeking protection of their lives and liberty before this court.

Now, on 15.11.2022, petitioner has received a telephonic call from his daughter (alleged detenue) that her husband and his parents have kept her forcibly and gave her beatings. Notice of motion for 12.12.2022.

Dasti as well.

On asking of the Court, Mr. J.S.Arora, DAG, Punjab, appears and accepts notice on behalf of respondent No. 1 (State). Let copy of JAWALA RAM 2022.12.13 16:53 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgement.

Meanwhile, respondent No. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh, is directed to depute some responsible police Officer to visit the place(s) as pointed out by the petitioner to find out the alleged detenue and then to record her statement by ensuring that same is without any pressure or undue influence rather same is with her free will and wish. Thereafter, status report in regard to the submission made by the alleged detenue would be submitted before this Court on or before the next date of hearing i.e. 12.12.2022." Counsel for respondent No.4 states that although the alleged detenue has gone back to her parents house, yet there is no allegation of any kind of harassment or ill-treatment to her at the instance of respondent No.4 However, he would seek an appropriate remedy in accordance with law. Counsel for the petitioner seeks withdrawal of the present petition.

Dismissed as withdrawn.
