The present petition has been filed under Sections 10/11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 alleging contempt of the order dated 27.08.2024 passed by this Court in CRM-M-41570-2024 whereby the Court had directed that the matter be investigated fairly and expeditiously so that final report can be submitted.

Learned PP UT Chandigarh states that the matter has since been investigated and the challan is ready to be filed, however, certain objections were raised regarding a sanction which is to be got before the challan can be filed and the matter is pending for the requisite sanction. 3.

In view of the statement made by the learned PP UT Chandigarh, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner does not wish to press the present contempt petition.
