Ms. Divya Narula, Advocate for the petitioner. PANKAJ JAIN, J. (ORAL) By way of present petition filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioners are seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect their life and liberty at the hands of respondent No.4.

Notice of motion.

Ms.Vasundhara Dalal Anand, Addl. P.P., U.T., Chandigarh accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents. As per the petitioners, they have married on 27.09.2023 against the wishes of respondents No.4, who happens to be the father of petitioner No.1 i.e. Rankita.

Both the petitioners have claimed themselves to be major relying upon their Aadhar Cards indicating that petitioner No.1-Rankita is 08.03.2002 born and petitioner No.2-Pawan Kumar is 02.01.2001 born. Deepak Kumar 2023.10.20 15:49 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-10363-2023 -22023:PHHC:137082 Without commenting on the legality and validity of the marriage, I deem it appropriate to direct respondent No.2 (Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh) to look into the representation dated 17.10.2023 (Annexure P-4) submitted by the petitioners. Keeping in view the fact that both the petitioners claim to have married, I think that if possible, respondent No.2 may call a meeting of the petitioners as well as respondent No.4 in his presence, so that the parties get rid off their ill feelings and live amicably. The petition stands disposed off.
