(ORAL) Petition herein, inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider candidature of the petitioner and to issue appointment letter as Assistant Block Resource Coordinator pursuant to the advertisement (Annexures P-1/P-2), as has been done qua similarly situated other candidates.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has also submitted representation dated 03.10.2022 (Annexure P-22), but the same has not been adverted by the respondents till date.

On advance service, learned State counsel and learned counsel for respondent No.3 appear and submit that a decision will be taken by the competent authority, either way, on the pending representation of the petitioner by passing a speaking order.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner also seeks decision on the pending representation, as suggested by learned State counsel and learned counsel for respondent No.3.

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the instant writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to look into the pending representation dated 03.10.2022 (Annexure P-22) of the petitioner and pass an administrative order, giving reasons thereof, in accordance with law. However, it is made clear that the objections with regard to delay and laches, as has been raised by the learned State counsel, is left open to be decided by the competent authority. 7.
