The present petition has been filed for directions to the respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty from the respondents No.4 and 5.

Notice of motion to the respondents No.1 to 3 only. 3.

Since advance notice has already been served upon the State, Mr. Eklavya Darshi, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents No.1 to 3 and waives service. 4.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent No.4 had forcibly married with the petitioner despite the fact that both of them were already married. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that respondents No.4 and 5 shifted to the petitioner's house to harass him and also to grab his property. Criminal Writ Petition No. 9347 of 2025 the petitioner with sharp-edged weapon. Thereafter, the petitioner filed representations dated 25.07.2025 and 01.08.2025 (Annexures P1 and P2), respectively, before the police authorities. According to petitioner, no action has been taken as yet. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that a direction for disposing of the representation 01.08.2025 (Annexure P2) be given to the concerned authorities and the instant writ petition be disposed of.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, to pass a speaking order and decide the representation 01.08.2025 (Annexure P2), as per law, within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

It is, however, made clear that no finding with regard to merits of the allegations is being recorded vide instant order, and the police authorities shall be at liberty to take an independent decision with regard to contents of the representation.
