Through the instant petition, as filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners,
have sought issuance of directions upon the official respondents, to ensure protection of their lives and liberty at the hands of private respondents, and, also to restrain the said respondents from harassing them or interfering in their lives. 2.
Today, the learned State counsel has filed reply to the instant petition, on affidavit of Tarsem Masih, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division, Fazilka, which is taken on record. A copy of the reply is also supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioners. 3.
What emerges forth from a perusal of the reply is that, during the course of inquiry, as became conducted upon petitioner No.1's representation, the petitioner No.1 made a categoric statement that, now they DEVINDER YADAV 2024.11.26 15:28 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
CRWP-9838-2024 have no threat from anyone and they do not require any protection. This statement has also been corroborated by the petitioner No.2. The statement of petitioner No.1 has been appended as Annexure R-2/T with the reply.

In view of the above, when there is no threat to the life and liberty of the petitioners, therefore, no direction is required to be passed. Consequently, the instant petition is closed. 5.
Disposed of accordingly.
