(ORAL) Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.0064 dated 12.09.2024, under Sections 115(2), 118(1), 126(2), 191(3), 190, 351(2) and 78 of The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, registered at Police Station City Raikot, District Ludhiana Rural.

On 10.10.2024, when this case was listed for hearing, following order was passed by a Coordinate Bench of this Court:- "Apprehending his arrest in FIR No.0064 dated 12.09.2024, registered under Sections 115(2), 118(1), 126(2), 191 (3), 190, 351(2) & BNS 78 of the BNS, 2023 at Police Station City Raikot, District Ludhiana Rural, petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia submits that the allegation levelled against the petitioner is of having

-2inflicted kirpan blow on the head of the complainant whereas as per MLR all the injuries found on the body of the victim have been opined to be blunt in nature. Notice of motion for 18.11.2024.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Sartaj Singh Gill, Sr. DAG. Punjab appears and accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.

In the meantime, in the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on interim bail subject to his furnishing personal and surety bonds to the satisfaction of the arresting officer/Investigating Officer. As and when called, the petitioner shall join the investigation. He shall abide by the conditions enumerated under Section 482 BNSS." Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in compliance of the order dated 10.10.2024 passed by the Coordinate Bench of this Court, the petitioner has joined investigation on 13.10.2024.

Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from SI Karamjit Singh, submits that the petitioner has joined investigation on 13.10.2024 and is co-operating with the investigating agency, and no further interrogation is required, at this stage. In view of the above, the order dated 10.10.2024 granting interim bail to the petitioner is made absolute. However, the petitioner will abide by the conditions stipulated under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C. He will also join the investigation and cooperate with the investigating agency in case he is required for the same in future as and when called upon to do so. In case at any given point of time hereinafter, it is felt by the

-3investigating agency that the petitioner is required for the investigation but is not cooperating, it will be at liberty to approach this Court for passing appropriate orders.

The petition stands disposed of.
