******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) The petitioner is seeking direction to respondents No. 1 to 4 and 6 not to harass him and his family members at the behest of private respondents and for protection to his life and liberty. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Manpreet Kaur daughter of respondent No. 7 and 8 had married with petitioner against the wishes of her family. A petition bearing CRM No. M-34778 of 2018 was filed in this Court which was disposed of with direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana (Rural) to ensure their life and liberty. Respondent No. 7 is ex-service man and he made complaint to the army and army official started calling the petitioner and his family members at Army Recruitment Office, Ludhiana. Parents of petitioner appeared there. Despite the order of this Court, petitioner is being put to unnecessarily harassment. CRM-M-56152-2018 Learned counsel for respondents No. 7 and 8 submits that the issue of marriage of their daughter with petitioner no more subsist as they have now reconciled and girl is presently living at Canada. They undertake not to pose any threat to the life and liberty of petitioner and his family members or agitate case of marriage of their daughter with petitioner before the Panchayat or police.

Learned State counsel submits that the police has taken action against the private respondents and initiated proceedings under Sections 107/150 Cr.P.C. against them. In case of any threat to life and liberty to the petitioner and his family members, they can always approach to Senior Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana (Rural) or any other police authority and on his complaint, required legal action will be taken. In view of submissions of learned counsel for respondents No. 7 & 8 and learned State counsel, this petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach respondent No. 3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana (Rural) as and when he apprehends any threat or danger to his life and liberty and that of his family. On filing of such representation, respondent No. 3 will verify the same and take appropriate legal action in accordance with law.
