(ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing FIR No. 0108 dated 24.10.2019 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 323, 341 and 506 IPC at Police Station City, Morinda, District Rupnagar and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise (Annexure P-2) effected in between the parties.

Pursuant to orders dated 19.11.2019 of this Court, the parties appeared before the Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Rupnagar, on 21.12.2019 to get their statements recorded. Learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Rupnagar, submitted his report vide letter No. 15 dated 09.01.2020, duly forwarded by the learned District and Sessions Judge, Rupnagar, vide Endst. CRM-M-49121-2019 -2According to the report, learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Rupnagar, is satisfied that compromise effected between the parties is genuine, outcome of free consent of the parties and is without coercion from any quarter.

In compliance of order dated 24.01.2020, photocopies receipts duly attested by learned counsel for the petitioner regarding deposit of costs of `20,000/- have also been produced in Court today. The same are taken on record. Be tagged at appropriate place. Considering the report of Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Rupnagar, dated 09.01.2020 and deposit of costs as well as the fact that the compromise will bring peace and harmony between the parties, aforesaid FIR No. 0108 dated 24.10.2019 (Annexure P-1) and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, are quashed, qua the petitioner only.

Registry is directed to verify deposit of aforesaid costs, with the concerned quarter.
