Status report by way of affidavit of Mr. Talwinder Kumar, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Rural, District Hoshiarpur, has been filed by learned State counsel on behalf of respondents-State in Court today, which is taken on record. 2.

Respondents No. 4 & 5 are the parents of petitioner No. 1 and are currently living in Uttar Pradesh. As per the office report, dasti notices issued to respondents No. 4 to 6 have not been received back served or otherwise.

However, learned counsel for the petitioners prays for withdrawal of the present petition, as she has been orally instructed that the matter has been compromised. She has no cogent proof of any compromise and it appropriately seems that the respondents No. 4 to 6 have not been PARUL 2023.12.18 14:39 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document served.

In light of the above, the present petition stands dismissed with cost of Rs. 10,000/- by the petitioners, which shall be deposited with Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Clerks Association, within 15 days from today.

Copy of this petition along with the response be sent to respondents No. 4 to 5 so that the parents at least come to know what their children are doing.

It is made clear that filing or pendency of this petition or any order/direction passed in this petition shall not be an alibi or defence to the petitioners, in case, they are found involved in any illegal activity and the respondent-Authorities shall take appropriate action, in accordance with law.
