It has also been brought to the notice of this Court that during the pendency of the instant appeal, the parties had ironed out their differences and arrived at an amicable settlement leading to the quashing of the FIR in question.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from Inspector Jagbir Singh, has not disputed by the submissions made by the counsel opposite.
