The present petition has been filed for directions to protect their life and liberty of the petitioner, from the respondents No.3 to 6. 2.

Notice of motion to the respondents No.1 to 3 only. 3.

Since advance notice has already been served upon the State, Mr. Eklavya Darshi, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents No.1 to 3 and waives service. 4.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and his wife got married against the wishes of respondents No.5 and 6. The petitioner has been harassed and threatened to be implicated in a false case by respondent No. 4 at the behest of respondents No.5 and 6. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that earlier, the petitioner was arrested in a criminal case arising out of FIR No. 161 dated 12.07.2025, under Sections 109 and 351(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2025.08.29 17:01 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Section 30 of the Arms Act, 1959, Police Station City, Rajpura. Criminal Writ Petition No. 9404 of 2025 inquiry, the petitioner was found innocent and was ordered to be discharged from the judicial custody vide order dated 31.07.2025 (Annexure P3). The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner has been pressurized to divorce his wife or else he would be implicated in a false criminal case. The petitioner has filed representation dated 04.08.2025 (Annexure P4), before the respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala. According to petitioner, no action has been taken as yet. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that a direction for disposing of the representation dated 04.08.2025 (Annexure P4) be given to the concerned authorities and the instant writ petition be disposed of. 5.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, to pass a speaking order and decide the representation dated 04.08.2025 (Annexure P4) on its own merits, as per law, within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

It is, however, made clear that no finding with regard to merits of the allegations is being recorded vide instant order, and the police authorities shall be at liberty to take an independent decision with regard to contents of the representation.
