CHANDIGARH CRM-M-61884-2018 DATE OF DECISION:-08.03.2019 RAMESH KUMAR ...PETITIONER...

V.

STATE OF PUNJAB ...RESPONDENT...

CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN Present: Ms. Bindu Tanwar, Advocate for Ms. Sheena Khanna, Advocate for the petitioner. **** RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) A written request for adjournment has been circulated on behalf of learned counsel for the petitioner on the ground that she is out of station. However, the said ground for seeking adjournment cannot be entertained, in view of judgment of Hon'ble the Supreme Court in Civil Appeal Nos.9142-9144-2010, titled as "Ram Siromani Tripathi and ors. vs. State of U.P. and ors.", wherein it has been held that seeking adjournment on the ground that counsel is out of station is not a valid ground.

In view of above settled proposition of law of the Hon'ble Apex Court, written request for adjournment is rejected. At this stage, learned proxy counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of instant petition.

Dismissed as withdrawn.
