(Oral) The prayer in the petition under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.153 dated 21.07.2025 under Sections 304(2), 115(2), 3(5) of BNS (Section 317(2) of BNS added later on) registered at Police Station Maqboolpura, District Police Commissionerate, Amritsar.

Status report dated 12.11.2025 by way of an affidavit of Gagandeep Singh, PPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, East, Amritsar (additional charge) has been filed on behalf of respondent-State by the learned State counsel and the same is taken on record. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the interim order dated 04.09.2025 passed by this Court, petitioner has joined the investigation.

CRM-M-48281-2025 -2The learned State Counsel on instructions submits that the petitioner has joined investigation in terms of order dated 04.09.2025 and is not required for custodial interrogation.

In this view of the matter, interim order dated 04.09.2025 is made absolute.

However, the petitioner shall keep on joining the investigation as and when required to do so and he shall abide by the conditions as envisaged under Section 482(2) of BNSS. Petition stands disposed of.
