Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from Lakha Singh, Assistant Sub Inspector, contended that statements of the petitioners have been recorded separately and now they do not have any threat from the private respondents.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners contended that he be allowed to withdraw the present petition and if need be, petitioners will approach the higher police authorities at subsequent stage. In view of above, present petition stands dismissed as withdrawn with the liberty aforesaid.
