By filing the instant writ petition, they have laid challenge to Resolution No.2 dated 29.4.2017 (Annexure P1) passed by the Gram Panchayat, Kankrola, District Gurgaon, providing the Panchayat land for establishment of the University; and the consequent lease deed dated 11.12.2017 (Annexure P2), executed between Gram Panchayat, Kankrola, Tehsil and District Gurugram (Haryana) and the Gurugram University RAJ KUMAR ARORA 2019.01.09 11:57 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

At the time of hearing, the challenge is restricted only to lease deed dated 11.12.2017 (Annexure P2), qua which concededly the petitioners have alternative remedy of filing an appeal under Section 10-A of the Punjab Village Common Lands (Regulation) Act, 1961 (as applicable to Haryana).

In view of alternative remedy, counsel for the petitioners prays for permission to withdraw the instant writ petition with liberty to avail the alternative remedy in accordance with law. Dismissed as withdrawn with aforesaid liberty. (JASWANT SINGH) JUDGE January 7, 2019.
