MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.111 dated 12.09.2019 under Sections 406, 498-A IPC registered at Women Police Station, Sector 17, Chandigarh.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the FIR in question emanates from a matrimonial dispute between the petitioner and his wife i.e. the complainant wherein false and fabricated allegations have been levelled against the petitioner of subjecting the complainant to cruelty for not getting dowry as per his expectations. He further submits that in compliance of order dated 18.11.2019 the petitioner had joined investigation and cooperated with the investigating agency by handing over all the dowry articles including gold ornaments. Therefore, the present petition be allowed.
Learned counsel for U.T. Chandigarh, does not dispute the factum of RUPINDER KAUR 2022.01.18 11:42 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document the petitioner having joined investigation and cooperated with the investigation
