*** At the instance of complainant-Preeti Sudan, the proceedings were initiated against Raman Kumar-petitioner under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (as amended). The trial Court convicted and sentenced Raman Kumar to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of six months and was also directed to pay compensation of Rs.2,50,000/-. The petitioner Raman Kumar went up in appeal and the appeal was dismissed by the appellate Court vide order dated 20.08.2025. Hence this revision petition.

The sentence of petitioner Raman Kumar was suspended by the Hon'ble High Court vide order dated 23.09.2025 while relying upon compromise effected between the parties. Copy of compromise deed dated 12.09.2025 has been placed on record as Annexure A-2. Counsel for the complainant-respondent No.1 states that this revision petition be disposed of in view of compromise Annexure A-2 effected between the parties.

In view of the above, the present revision petition is disposed of and sentence & conviction of petitioner-Raman Kumar by the trial MEENU KUMARI 2026.04.27 13:00 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CRR-2159-2025 (O&M) -2Court is set aside. The petitioner stands acquitted of the charges framed against him.
