On the last date of hearing, learned State counsel was asked to assist the court. A copy of the petition was handed-over to him. Today he has filed reply by way of short affidavit of Inderpal, Deputy Director (Phy. Edu.) O/o Director of Public Instructions (S.E.) Punjab. Same is taken on record.

Grievance of the petitioners is that trials of the Roller Skating tournament selecting players for the National Championship scheduled to be held in Belgaum, Karnataka are being conducted against by the State without any cogent reason. Such exercise may affect the rights of the petitioners who have already been selected.

At the outset, learned State counsel submits that no prejudice shall be caused to the petitioners by holding the trials. If they have already qualified, they shall be allowed to participate in the National Championship on the basis of trials conducted earlier from 7th December, 2018 to 10th December, 2018.

CWP No. 37706 of 2018 In view of statement made by State counsel, grievance of the petitioners has been redressed. No cause of action, thus, survives in this petition. Same is hereby disposed of.
