U.T., Chandigarh. **** SANDEEP MOUDGIL , J.(ORAL) This petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus directing respondent No.2 to produce the detenue namely Jashandeep Kaur d/o Baldev Singh before this Court who is in custody of respondent No.3.

In compliance to previous order dated 15.10.2024, alleged detenue namely Jashandeep Kaur d/o Baldev Singh-respondent No.4 has been produced in Court today by respondent No.2. The U.T. Police is being represented by Mr. Charanjit Bakshi, Addl. P.P. U.T., Chandigarh and the alleged detenue i.e. a girl aged 18 years now, having date of birth 11.10.2006 is accompanied by Ms. Manveer Kaur, Officer Incharge (Warden), Ashiana, Sector 15-C, Chandigarh. CRWP-9944-2024 Mr. Charanjit Bakshi, Addl. P.P. U.T., Chandigarh, on instructions from SI Ajmer Singh produce a copy of the statement of alleged detenue Jashandeep Kaur got recorded during interaction wherein girl has shown willingness and commitment to join the company of petitioner namely Tarsem Singh only and does not want to go back to respondent No.4 who is her father.

A photocopy of said statement recorded on 30.07.2024 produced by Mr. Charanjit Bakshi, Addl. P.P. U.T., Chandigarh, is taken on record as document 'A' by this Court.

In view of above, the petitioner is satisfied since the grievance stands redressed and alleged detenue will be at liberty to join the company of the petitioner.

Officer Incharge (Warden), Ashiana, Sector 15-C, Chandigarh, is directed to discharge the alleged detenue Jashandeep Kaur forthwith after an undertaking that the alleged detenue receiving the petitioner.
