The instant petition under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, has been filed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.179 dated 19.07.2025, registered under Sections 118(1), 118(2), 115(2), 190, 191(3) of Bharatiya Nayaya Sanhita, 2023 (Section 333 of BNS deleted and Section 331(6) of BNS added later on) at Police Station Canal Colony, Bathinda, District Bathinda.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation and his custodial interrogation is no more required in this case.

Learned State counsel has not refuted the aforesaid assertions made by learned counsel for the petitioner and, on instructions from ASI GEETA RANI 2025.10.30 17:10 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh

CRM-M-48445-2025 (O&M) ( 2 ) Balwinder Singh further submits that the petitioner is not required by the police for further investigation or custodial interrogation. 4.

In view of the above, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and order of interim bail dated 01.09.2025 is hereby made absolute subject to the conditions as provided under Section 482(2) of the BNSS, 2023.
