The instant petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners and to restrain the private respondent not to harass or interfere in their peaceful live-in-relationship. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that both the petitioners are major and living together with their free consent. 3.

Mr. Gurmeet Singh, AAG, Haryana, appearing on advance notice, on instructions from ASI Ajmer Singh, submits that statement of respondent no. 4 - Meenakshi, mother of petitioner no. 1, has been recorded, in which, she has categorically stated that she has no objection, in case both the petitioners, are living together. 4.
