NAMIT KUMAR J. (Oral) The petitioners have filed the instant writ petition, claiming the following reliefs:- i. Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus summoning the records of the case.

ii. Issue a writ in the nature of certiorari quashing the advertisement no. 2022106 dated 03.10.2022 (Annexure P-1) issued by respondent no. 2-Punjab Public Service Commission to the extent of infringement upon the right of the petitioners to apply and be considered for selection and appointment to the post of Assistant Environmental Engineer (Group A) in respondent no. 1-Punjab Pollution Control Board.

iii. Issue a writ in the nature of certiorari quashing the advertisement no. 2022108 dated 03.10.2022 (Annexure MOHD YAKUB 2024.12.07 13:22 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh

CWP No.29072 of 2022 P-2) issued by respondent no. 2-Punjab Public Service Commission to the extent of infringement upon the right of the petitioners to apply and be considered for selection and appointment to the post of Junior Environmental Engineer (Group B) in respondent no. 1-Punjab Pollution Control Board.

iv. Issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to permit the petitioners and similarly-situated candidates possessing engineering degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering to apply and be considered for selection and appointment to the posts of Assistant Environmental Engineer (Group A) and Junior Environmental Engineer (Group B).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the instant petition has been rendered infructuous as petitioner No.1 did not pass the necessary examination and petitioner No.2 did not appear in the said examination.

Disposed of as having become infructuous.
