The present contempt petition has bene filed pleading wilful disobedience of order dated 25.05.2018 passed by this Court in CWP No.13443 of 2018.

COCP No.9918 of 2018 -2-                     $  ) Pursuant to notice of motion, reply dated 18.07.2019 annexing order dated 24.04.2019 was filed. In the order, the Chief Executive Officer, Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board ordered that pay of the petitioners be refixed subject to advice of the Finance Department and in case adverse advice is received, the benefits so granted shall be withdrawn.

Today learned counsel for the respondents, on instructions from Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Superintendent states that the Finance Department has rejected the claim of the petitioner and a reasoned order would be passed within six weeks from today after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. In view of above, no cause of action survives for pursuing the contempt petition.

The contempt petition is disposed of.
