This is a petition under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.0042 dated 07.09.2022 under Sections 354-D, 506, 509 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (IPC) read with Sections 66-C and 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, registered at Police Station Punjab State Cyber Crime SAS Nagar (Annexure P-1).

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the present petition has since been rendered infructuous inasmuch as the FIR has been quashed on the basis of a compromise vide order of even date passed in CRM-M16182-2023.
