Prayer made in the present petition is for considering the case of the petitioner for extension of retirement age from 58 to 60 years in terms of Rule 3.27 of Punjab Civil Service Rules amended upto 31.01.2016. 2.

Learned State counsel states that the present petition has been rendered infructuous and may be disposed of on account of the fact that the retirement age of the petitioner stands extended till 31.10.2025 as stated in para 3 of the reply dated 24.11.2023, which learned counsel for the petitioner has not been able to dispute.
