Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that the petitioner pursuant to advertisement No.4 of 2021 applied for the post of Head Constable in Investigation Cadre of Punjab Police. The petitioner cleared written as well as physical test. The petitioner submitted requisite documents including caste certificate. The documents of the petitioner were considered during physical test still the petitioner has not been issued appointment letter. The name of the petitioner is not appearing in the merit list. The cut off as per merit list is 501 whereas petitioner has secured 518 marks.

Learned State counsel, who on advance notice is present in Court, assures the Court that representation dated 18.09.2023 (Annexure P-10) filed by petitioner would be considered by competent authority and an appropriate order shall be passed within two weeks from today.
