RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Petitioner has approached this Court praying for issuance of directions to official respondents No.1 to 4 for reopening of the street going towards petitioner's house being used by him and other villagers for many years, which is now being illegally blocked by respondents No.5 to 8. It has been contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that the street was illegally blocked by respondents No.5 to 8 for which the petitioner duly filed representation before respondent No.2 (SDM) on 20.06.2023, and before respondent No.3- BDPO, Dirba and SHO Chhajali on 10.07.2023. He submits that even thereafter no action has been taken on the representation till date.

Notice of motion to official respondents only at this stage. On asking of the Court, Ms.Akshita Chauhan, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/State and submits that respondent No.2-SDM has already taken cognizance on the application and issued directions to the BDPO and the MEENU 2023.11.03 18:22 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

CWP-24585-2023 -2SHO vide its letter dated 11.07.2023. She submits that BDPO and SHO had already been directed by the SDM for reopening of the street. In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-SDM to take further necessary action for compliance of his orders, so that the same is complied with within a month from today.
