***** SANJIV BERRY. J. (Oral) The instant petition has been preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 3(1) of the Punjab Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 1962, seeking directions to the respondents for grant of temporary parole to the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has limited her request in the present petition owing to the fact that the petitioner has filed representation dated 15.10.2023 (Annexure P-1) to respondent No.3-Jail Superintendent, Central Jail Bathinda, but the same has not been decided till date. She has requested that for the purpose of the present petition, the petitioner will be satisfied, if appropriate directions are given to respondent No.3 to consider and dispose of the representation (Annexure P-1) in accordance with law in an expeditious manner. 3.
Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Subhash Godara, Additional A.G. Punjab appears and accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State. 5.
Considering the limited request raised by learned counsel for the petitioner, without commenting on the merits of the petition, the present petition is SANDAL SHARMA 2023.11.08 17:36 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

The decision so taken be also intimated to the petitioner as well. 6.
