(Oral) This petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of certiorari for setting aside the impugned order dated 18.10.2023, Annexure P5, issued by respondent No.2 vide which Permanent Districts reserved for allocation to the JBT/PRT Teachers of ESM category have been allotted to the JBT/PRT Teachers of Dependent of Ex-servicemen (DESM) and Dependent of Freedom Fighters (DFF) categories by treating the DESM and DFF as ESM and thereby granting benefit of reservation to the DESM/DFF on priority against the vacancies reserved for JBT/PRT of ESM category. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that grievance raised herein is pending for appropriate decision before the respondents. At this stage, the petitioners will be satisfied in case respondent No.2 is directed to decide the pending representations, Annexure P-7, in a specified period. Mr. Sanjeev Kaushik, Addl. AG, Haryana, appearing on advance notice, submits that the pending reprensentations shall be decided by respondent No.2 expeditiously.

In view thereof, without going into merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2/Director, Department of Elementary Education, Haryana, to consider and decide the pending representations, by passing a speaking order in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order.

In case the order is not passed within the stipulated period, the officer concerned shall pay costs of ₹25,000 to the petitioners.
