**** G.S. SANDHAWALIA , J. (Oral) Challenge in the present writ petition is to the order dated 06.09.2018 (Annexure P-1) passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Chandigarh Bench (for short 'the Tribunal') vide which directions have been issued to reconsider the case of respondent No.2 (Harpal Singh) for appointment on compassionate ground, in accordance with the policy. It is not disputed that reconsideration was done and the claim was again rejected on 16.03.2020 which would be clear from order of the Tribunal Chandigarh Bench in Contempt Petition No. 60/130/2019 in Original Application No. 60/1392/2017 decided on 08.09.2021. The said order reads as under :- "1. At the very outset Sh. Lakhinder Bir Singh, learned counsel for the respondents has stated that in compliance SATYAWAN 2022.08.02 10:04 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
CWP-197-2019 with the order dated 06.09.2018 passed by this Tribunal in O.A. No. 60/1392/2017, the respondents have already been issued an order dated 16.03.2020 and, therefore, nothing survives in the present Contempt Petition.
2.
Issuance of the order dated 16.03.2020 by the respondents has not been disputed by Sh. Tejwinder Singh Hundal, learned counsel for the petitioners. He, however, stated that the Contempt Petition may be disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to lay a challenge to order dated 16.03.2020 by way of filing a fresh original application. 3.
In view of the above, the Contempt Petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous with liberty to the petitioners to lay a challenge to order dated 16.03.2020 by way of filing a fresh original application, if so advised. 4.
Rule of the Court is discharged."
In such circumstances, the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous. The same is disposed of accordingly.
