The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India is seeking directions to the respondents to revise his pension and release arrears.

The petitioner joined respondents on 01.01.1995, however, in the official record, the date of joining was recorded as 01.03.1997. The petitioner requested the respondents to correct his date of joining and respondent after scrutinizing its record has corrected date of joining of the petitioner. The petitioner filed representation dated 20.07.2023 (Annexure P-4) asking the respondents to revise his pension and release arrears in view of correct date of joining.

The actual date of joining of the petitioner was 01.01.1995 and it was wrongly recorded as 01.03.1997 which resulted into lower amount of pension to the petitioner. As the respondent has corrected date of joining of the petitioner, the respondent is bound to release consequential benefits. The needful shall be done within 04 months from today. The respondent shall consider claim of the petitioner with respect to interest. 5.
