The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to provide adequate security cover as he has threat perception to his life and liberty. 2.

The petitioner lodged FIR No. 81 dated 22.07.2025 under Section 308(4) of BNS at Police Station Ghanie Ke Bangar, Police District Batala, District Gurdaspur alleging that he has received threat calls on his mobile phone from abroad. He has filed representation dated 13.08.2025 seeking police protection.

Learned State counsel submits that as per inquiry conducted by jurisdictional authorities, at present, there is no threat perception to petitioner.
