seeking partition of the joint land measuring 38 Bigha-14 Biswa comprised in Khewat No.26//22 (as per Jamabandi for the year 2014-15), situated in Village Didwari, Tehsil Israna, District Panipat. 2.1 It appears that the petitioners herein participated in the aforesaid partition proceedings and raised a plea that the land in question had already been partitioned way back in the year 1982 pursuant to a compromise effected between the parties, whereupon all the co-sharers had taken possession of their respective shares and had even constructed houses thereon.

2.2 In the aforesaid partition proceedings, the learned Assistant Collector, Ist Class, Israna, approved the mode of partition vide order dated 07.02.2023 (Annexure P-3).

2.3 It transpires that during pendency of the aforesaid partition proceedings, the petitioners filed an application dated 14.06.2023 (Annexure P-4), praying that the partition proceedings conducted in the year 1982 be re-opened and that Sanad Takseem be issued, as the instant partition proceedings would disturb the settled position. The said application was opposed by respondent No. 3 by filing a reply dated 20.07.2023 (Annexure P-6). Thereafter, the learned Assistant Collector, 2nd Grade, Israna, vide order dated 20.07.2023 (Annexure P-7), rejected the prayer of the petitioners for re-opening the proceedings pertaining to the earlier partition and, by the same order, approved Naksha 'Kha'. Consequently, Naksha Zeem (or Naksha 'Ga') was called for from the field staff. Upon receipt thereof on the case file, the same was approved by the learned Assistant Collector, 2nd Grade, Israna, vide order dated 10.08.2023 (Annexure P-8).

2.4 Feeling aggrieved by the aforesaid order dated 10.08.2023

(Annexure P-8), the petitioners preferred a revision petition before the learned Divisional Commissioner, Karnal. During the pendency of the said revision, the learned Assistant Collector, 2nd Grade, Israna, issued Sanad Takseem dated 05.09.2023 (Annexure P-10). Thereafter, the learned Divisional Commissioner, Karnal, vide order dated 24.04.2025 (Annexure P-11), dismissed the revision petition filed by the petitioners. 3.
