***** AARADHNA SAWHNEY, J. (ORAL) Petitioners have filed the present petition vide which they have prayed for issuing direction to respondent No.2, to ensure that they (petitioners) are not impleaded in false case. 2.

Learned counsel submits that son of petitioner No.1, namely, Lovepreet Singh had an emotional attachment with minor girl, namely, Mandeep Kaur. He left the house along with the said girl and did not return back. Since then, he (Lovepreet Singh) never tried to contact the petitioners. Now petitioners are being pressurized by the local police officials (Police Post Bohru, Police Station Hakim Gate) to produce both Lovepreet Singh and the minor girl Mandeep Kaur.

Learned counsel further submits that a detailed representation dated 28.08.2025 was also moved to Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar Rural, which has not been decided till date. In so far as the present petition is concerned, learned counsel for the petitioners has limited his prayer to direct the official respondents to VIVEK PAHWA 2025.09.08 16:15 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

Without commenting upon the merits of the case and in view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the official respondents to decide the representation dated 28.08.2025 (Annexure P-1) within a period of two weeks. In case, it is found that there is a genuine threat to the lives and liberty of the petitioners, then necessary steps warranted under law be taken at the earliest, so as to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioners. 5.

Disposed of accordingly.
