Prayer in the application is for placing on record the documents i.e. receipt of renewal of arms license dated 05.10.2023, as Annexure P-5.

Application is allowed as prayed for.

Annexure P-5 is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. CRM-M-54819-2023 1.
The present petition has been filed inter alia praying for directing the respondents to release the weapon which was surrendered by the petitioner, as there was an FIR No. 226 dated 08.12.2018 lodged against the petitioner.

Subsequently, the petitioner has been acquitted in the said FIR PARUL 2023.12.12 10:26 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document but the weapon has not been released. The only reason for the same was
2023:PHHC:154139 CRM-M-54819-2023 (O&M) -2that the license of that weapon had expired, however, learned counsel for the petitioner has placed on record Annexure P-5, whereby, he has applied for the license again before the competent authorities which is under consideration.

Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed of with a direction to the authorities to release the weapon to the competent authority, who was to grant the license, which shall hand over the same to the petitioner, in case, the license is renewed in his favour. 4.
It is made clear that this order shall not be construed as any direction or opinion to renew the license and the same shall be considered in accordance with law.
