Apprehending threat to his life and liberty at the hands of the private respondents, the petitioner who claims to be a practicing advocate and is one of the counsel in various sensitive matters, invoking the fundamental right of life guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution of India, has come up before this Court seeking protection for engaging police officials as petitioner's security officers. 2.

The concerned Director General of Police had filed a detailed response and perusal of para 6 of the status report, is extremely satisfactory. Be that as it may, even the perusal of the petition reveals that petitioner did not mention time and exact details of the conversation and not even gender of the person who was calling the petitioner and threatening. Petitioner also did not hand over the mobile to the investigator or launched any complaint in this regard. In case, petitioner had received call probably from an Indian number or received any international call, it is for the petitioner to file a formal complaint by supplying all the digital evidence in the shape of mobile phone and writing verbatim of the threat received, which was not done. Since there are no details qua threat and period of 20 days have already elapsed, as such, petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file complaint, if he so desires and also to file fresh petition, if need so arise, after filing application for protection before the concerned SSP.
