The petitioner is seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of private respondents No.4 and 5. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that without any rhyme or reason, the private respondents had been extending threats of dire consequences to the petitioner and subjecting him to unnecessary harassment. Learned counsel has drawn the attention of this Court to representation dated 09.10.2024 given to Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga (Annexure P-3) wherein also a prayer had been made by the petitioner to the official respondents to come to his rescue. However, it had been in vain.
