Present petition has been filed praying for issuance of directions to official respondents for taking appropriate legal action on the representation, dated 05.10.2024, Annexure P-2, pending before respondent No.2 as per law laid down by Hon'ble Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of UP and others 2013(4) RCR (Crl.) 979 and for protection of the petitioner and her family who apprehend threat from the accused/respondents.

It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that for redressal of her grievances, the petitioner has already filed a representation (Annexure P-2) before respondent No.2 on 05.10.2024 but not action has been taken on the same till date. 3.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties and going through the facts of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Police District Batala, to look into the representation (Annexure P-2) of the petitioner and decide the same expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within one month from today.
