The present petition has been filed seeking protection of life and liberty of the petitioner and directing the official respondents to look into the matter.

At the outset, learned State counsel has submitted that the matter is being looked into and the statement of the petitioner has also been recorded on 08.11.2023.

Faced with the above, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present petition at this stage, however, prays that the authority be directed to proceed in the matter expeditiously in accordance with law. 4.

In light of the above, the present petition stands disposed of and since, the authorities are looking into the matter, no specific directions are required to be passed.
