The present contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of orders dated 21.05.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-26126-2017, which was disposed of in terms of judgment dated 09.04.2025 passed by the Division Bench of this Court in LPA-1843-2019 titled as 'State of Punjab and another Vs. Karamjeet Kaur'. 2.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that State of Punjab has preferred Special Leave Petition (Civil) No.46242 of 2025 against judgment dated 09.04.2025 passed by the Division Bench of this Court in LPA-1843-2019 before Hon'ble the Supreme Court, wherein status quo order has been passed, vide order dated 16.09.2025.
