The petitioners through instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking quashing of compromise award dated 26.11.2022 passed in MACP No. 385 of 2022 by Motor Accident Claims Tribunals, Kurukshetra (for short 'MACT') . 2.

The petitioners are family members of deceased Sh. Chaman Lal aged 47 years (Rtd. Army Personnel) who died in a road accident. FIR No. 176 was registered at Police Station Shahzadpur, District Ambala under sections 279 and 304A IPC against respondent No.2-Rajesh. They filed a claim petition under sections 166, 140 and 141 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 claiming compensation of ₹3,00,00,000/-. MACT vide award dated 26.11.2022 has granted a sum of ₹ 19,85,000/- towards full and final settlement. CWP-26229-2025 -2coerced by mediators in collusion with insurance company. They were not aware of legal consequences and implications of Lok Adalat Award. They became aware of the same after consulting counsel. The award was obtained by misrepresentation, undue influence and collusion. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioners seeks permission to withdraw the petition at this stage with liberty to file afresh with better particulars, if required.
