The instant petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking a writ in the nature of Certiorari for quashing the order dated 26.04.2024 (Annexure P-6) passed by Superintending Canal Officer, Hisar.

Learned counsel for the petitioners inter alia submits that the petitioners would be satisfied if appropriate directions are issued to respondent No.4- Divisional Canal Officer, Adampur Water Services Division, Hisar for deciding the appeal filed by the present petitioners, in a time bound manner.

CWP-28988-2024 (O&M) -2XEN, submits that the appeal filed by the present petitioners is pending consideration before respondent No.4- Divisional Canal Officer, Adampur Water Services Division, Hisar for 12.11.2024. It is further submitted that in all probability the aforesaid appeal shall be decided by the concerned Officer/Authority within a period of four months from the date fixed i.e. 12.11.2024 after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioners. 5.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that keeping in view the aforesaid submissions made by learned State counsel, he does not intend to press the instant writ petition any further, at this stage. 6.

Keeping in view the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of accordingly. 7.
