(Oral) The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to grant promotion/service benefits of 4-9-14 (proficiency step up) as per the guidelines of Government of Punjab and also to fix salary, arrears of salary, allowances along with interest @ 15% per annum to the petitioner. Further prayer has been made to direct respondent No.2 to decide the legal notice dated 28.10.2022, submitted by the petitioner. On 29.11.2024, the following order was passed:- "Short reply by way of affidavit of Sandeep Gupta, Superintendent Engineer, Municipal Corporation, Abohar, District Fazilka, on behalf of respondents No.2 and 3, has MOHD YAKUB 2024.12.03 17:03 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court at Chandigarh

CWP No.28465 of 2022 been filed in the Court today, which is taken on record. Copy thereof has been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned counsel for respondents No.2 & 3 submits that the petitioner has already been granted the benefit of 4 years and 9 years ACP and his pay has also been refixed, however, with regard to his claim for grant of ACP on completion of 14 years of service, the matter is still under process and is pending consideration with the Finance Department, Punjab and the claim of the petitioner shall be considered in accordance with the decision taken by the Finance Department. In this view of the matter, he submits that the instant petition has been rendered infructuous. Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks two days adjournment to get instructions from the petitioner. Adjourned to 03.12.2024.

To be taken up immediately after urgent list." Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite his best efforts, he has not been able to get instructions from the petitioner. In this view of the matter, the present petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous.
