(ORAL) Prayer in this 1st petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C., is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 91 dated 22.12.2022 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 363 and 366 IPC (Sections s376A, 302, 201, 120-B read with Section 34 IPC and Sections 6 and 17 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, were added later on) at Police Station City Kurali, District Patiala. Status report dated 15.05.2024, filed by way of affidavit of Sh. Dharamvir Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Kharar-II, District SAS Nagar (Mohali) on behalf of respondent-State is taken on record.

After arguing for some time, when this Court is not inclined to accord the benefit of regular bail to the petitioner, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition, at this stage.
