***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J. (Oral) At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner requests that he may be permitted to withdraw the petition and trial Court may be directed to expedite the trial.

Learned State counsel has informed that as on date 2 PWs out of cited 13 PWs have been examined and that next date fixed before the trial Court is 20.3.2020 for recording prosecution evidence. It has however been informed that one more case under NPDS Act has also been registered against the petitioner.

In view of the aforestated position, the petition is disposed off having been withdrawn. The trial Court shall however make efforts to conclude the trial expeditiously keeping in view the age of the petitioner, who is stated to be aged more than 60 years.
