Present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to respondent No.2 to ensure the protection of life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members as respondent No.4 (wife of the petitioner) is residing in illicit relationship with respondent No.5, therefore private respondents No.4 to 8 are continuously issuing threats to eliminate the petitioner and his family members, if petitioner would try to search respondent No.4 and his minor daughter, namely, Jasmeen Kaur. It is further prayed to direct respondent No.2 to decide the representation, dated 06.07.2024, Annexure P-1, submitted by the petitioner.

It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that for redressal of his grievances, he has already filed representation before respondent No.2 on 06.07.2024, but no action has been taken on the same MEENU 2024.10.19 13:12 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document till date.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties and going through the facts of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, District Tarn Taran, to decide the representation (Annexure P-1) of the petitioner expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within one month from today.
